Open Access is a publishing model that provides immediate, subscription free access to the full text of published articles. Cancer Prevention and Care is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. Moreover, authors who publish in Open Access journals retain the copyright of their article.

The default license for articles published in Cancer Prevention and Care is the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), but authors who wish to publish their work under a more strict license are also able to choose the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-ND 4.0).

The journal does not have article processing charges. There are no costs to submit or publish in this open access journal.
